MUM stands for “Multitask Unified Model” and it’s majorly changed Google’s algorithm for the better. This update, is Google’s latest breakthrough in artificial intelligence or AI for short. MUM has been designed to be a more advanced version of Google’s existing AI models, with the ability to understand and respond to much more complex queries in multiple languages. So for example, something like “how did Brexit effect the U.K economy over the last 5 years”- that’s an example of a complex question that Google can answer.


MUM is still in the quite early stages of development, but it has series potential to revolutionise the way we search for information online. If you’re not familiar with the term, structured data, while quite simply put it refers to a standardised format for providing information about a page and classifying its content marketing. In other words, it’s like the Dewey Decimal System for the internet.


So why use is structured data? Well, for starters, it helps search engines like Google, and Bing to understand the content marketing on your website. By using structured data, such as schema on say your homepage, you can provide additional information about your pages, such as the author, the date it was published, and even the rating of a product. For example, on each of your product pages, you could add schema, which shows what your customers have provided as a star rating for that product. This not only helps search engines such as Google , better understand your content marketing, but it can also lead to rich snippets, which appear on the first page of Google , therefore appearing in search results, which can increase click-through rates to your company website.

The future is here, we’ve all watched the Will Smith film, I am robot, and to some extent that might have a lot of us fearing AI, but do not have fear, as its helping Google to provide better answers to questions. So AI is not just flying cars and hoverboards. AI is all around us, from the virtual assistants on our phones to the chatbots on customer service, such as chat bots on websites such as Amazon. But what exactly is AI, and how is it changing the world?


At its core, AI, that is artificial intelligence is the ability of machines, through machine learning, to perform tasks that would normally require human intelligence, such as visual perception, that is recognising what certain objects are, speech recognition, and using decision-making, and even creativity-have you seen, artificial intelligence creating a picture,?

AI is getting brilliant at creating pictures. And while we may not have fully autonomous robots walking around just yet, and we can’t over emphasise the wording not yet, because one day it will happen, but AI is already having a major impact on most people’s lives.


One of the most visible examples of AI is in the realm of virtual assistants. For example when you wake up, you might ask Siri, Alexa, or Google Assistant , what is the weather going to be like today? So Whether you’re using Siri, Alexa, or Google Assistant, these tools use natural language processing, which is also referred to as NLP and machine learnin, g to understand your commands and provide answers. And as AI continues to evolve, we can expect to see even more advanced virtual assistants that can handle more complex tasks and even anticipate our needs before we ask. The possibilities are truly endless when it comes to using AI technology.

Of course, with any new technology comes concerns about its impact on society, a lot of people, worry that AI might replace their job, and there are some seo consultants that worry that AI might replace the need for seo consultants.
